Disclosure on the use of cookies

The website uses cookies and similar technologies in order to guarantee the correct functioning of procedures and to improve the user experience of online applications.  This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, on how they are used by  FH group S.p.A. and on how to manage them.

Cookies are brief fragments of text (letters and/or numbers) which allow the web server to memorize on the client’s device/browser (the browser) information to be reused during the same visit to the website  (session cookies) or, subsequently, even after several days have elapsed (persistent cookies). The cookies are memorized on the basis of the user’s preferences, by the individual broswer on the specific device utilized  (computer, tablet, smartphone).

Later in this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies using simply the term “cookie”.

Types of cookies

Depending upon the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish various categories of the same:

Cookies that are strictly necessary. These are cookies which are indispensable for the proper functioning of the website and are used to manage the login and access to the reserved functions of the website.  The duration of such cookies is strictly limited to the work session.

Cookies for analysis and performance. These cookies are used to gather and analyze traffic on the site and the use of the site in an anonymous manner. Such cookies, while they do not identify the user, allow, for example, for determining whether such user connects to the website at other times.  They also allow for the monitoring of the system and improvements to its performance and usability.  The disactivation of such cookies may be carried out without losing any functioning features.

Profiling cookies. These are permanent cookies used to identify (both anonymously and otherwise) the user’s preferences and to improve his or her navigation experience. The website does not use cookies of this type.

Third Party Cookies

When visiting a website, it is possible to receive cookies from both the website visited (“owner’s cookies”), and from websites managed by other organizations (“third party cookies”). One noteworthy example is the presence of the “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+. Thees are parts of the page visited generated directly by the above-mentoioned websites and integrated into the page of the host website. The most common use of social plugins is aimed at sharing contents on social networks.

The presence of these plugins entails the transmission of cookies from and to websites which are all managed by third parties. The management of the information gathered by “third parties” is governed by the related policy disclosure documents to which you are asked to refer. In order to ensure greater transparency and ease of reference, set forth below are the websites featuring the various policy disclosure documents and methods of managing cookies.

Facebook policy  disclosure:

Facebook (configuration): go to your own account. Privacy section.

Instagram policy disclosure:

The website also includes certain components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). In this case as well, the cookies implemented are owned by third parties and gathered and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies).

Google Analytics uses the “cookies” to gather and analyze, in  anonymous form, information on conduct related to the use of the website (including the IP address of the user). Such information is gathered by Google Analytics, which elaborates them for purposes of drafting reports for the operators of FH Group Sp.A. concerning the activities on its websites. This website does not use (and does not allow third parties to use)  Google’s analytical instrument to monitor or gather personal information for identification purposes. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data in Google’s possession, and does not connect any IP address with the identity of any user. Google may also disclose such information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the above-mentioned information on behalf of Google.

For further information, see the following link:

The user may selectively disactivate Google Analytics’ action by installing on his/her browser the opt-out component provided by Google. To disactivate action by Google Analytics, see the following link:

Duration of cookies

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the closure of the browser or the activation of the logout command. Other cookies  “survive” the closure of the browser and are also available during subsequent visits by the user.

These cookes are referred to as “persistent” and their duration is set by the server at the time of their creation. In some cases, a fixed expiry is set, while in other cases, the duration is unlimited.

Management of cookies

The user may decide whether or not to accept cookies by using his/her own browser settings.

Important notice: the total or partial disactivation of technical cookies can compromise the use of functions of the website reserved to registered users. On the contrary, public contents remain usable even if the cookies are completely disactivated.

The disactivation of “third party” cookies does not impair navigability in any way whatsoever.

The setting may be defined specifically for the various websites and web applications. Moreover, the best browsers allow for the application of different settings for “owners’” cookies and “third party” cookies.

For example, in Firefox, using the menu Strumenti->Opzioni ->Privacy, it is possible to gain access to a control panel where it is possible to choose whether or not to accept the various types of cookies and to proceed with their removal.
